From Braid-Out to Chunky Fro

My hair evolves, as the week progresses (based on the weather).

One of the great things about having nappy hair is you can laugh at the rain. That’s a good thing for me, considering it rained a lot last week. I wear my hair in a braid-out (I set my wet hair by braiding it with a gel, and loosening the braids after my hair dries). My hair holds a braid set very well — so well that even when the humidity is high, you’ll still see texture. It turns into a very chunky, textured ‘fro.

So, as it evolves, I adapt and change my style. When it grows puffy, I put it up in a puff. I take it down at night, apply a little QB Amla and Olive Heavy Cream, and tie it up with a silk scarf. The next day, I fluff it up and put it back up, in a puff. It’s so easy and stylish. I get so many compliments, and I’m amazed because folks have no idea how simple it is to do.
