I’m a day late, so….
Anyway, let’s pick up where I left off, shall we? So, my computer is chuggin’ away at the Windows reinstall, and I’m sippin’ my tea. I get to the point where I have to enter my Windows product key. My old product key is located on the sticker on the side of my computer, but guess what? It doesn’t work. I know that from the last time I had to reinstall the OS, and I can’t find the new one Microsoft gave me. I place a call to Microsoft and this is how it went:
Me: Hello! I need to get a new product key for my Windows XP, because I’m reinstalling the OS, and the old one doesn’t work.
MS: Why are you reinstalling your OS?
Me: Because my system crashed.
MS: Would you hold a moment please?
Me: Sure!
I’m thinkin’ I’m about to get what I need and get on with what I’m trying to do, cuz I gotta finish some shower invites and print them up. Well, next thing I know, I’m talking to the “Anti-Piracy Department”. Now, what’s so ridiculous about this is that I hate Windows and wish with all my heart, that God would inspire somebody to develop something better, so I can be done with Bill Gate’s hot mess of operating systems. I don’t wanna use Windows, period. So, “piracy” is not an issue, okay? Not to mention that it’s unethical. BTW, I’m not looking forward to Vista, either.
What happened next? I’ll keep these entries kinda short and spread out the story. See you tomorrow…:)
