That’s Jesus. He’s solid. We can depend on Him. He allows us to experience disappointment in humans, so we can learn to ultimately depend on Him. We can count on Him to show up and deliver, when (not if, but when) others fail us.
One of my favorite hymns says:
“On Christ, the solid rock I stand. All other ground is sinking sand…”
