I have to set aside a day to shampoo, condition and twist/braid my hair — a day. Cuz once I get done, I'm tired and not feeling like doing much else. I've got my standard "weave in the winter" appt. scheduled (this Friday), that will have to be re-scheduled, because of a time conflict. When I first went natural eight years ago I thought that it would be easier to deal with then when I had a perm, but I soon learned that I was sadly mistaken. The longer it gets, the more work it is, and the lazier I get. I keep saying that I'm just going to cut it all off again, but my hairdresser refuses to let me. I wanted long hair for so long and now that I have finally got it she feels that I'm obligated to keep it. So until she and I get on the same page, a puffy ponytail will consistently grace the back of my head. :smug: I know how you feel.
