I had it all planned. I was gonna stay in on Tuesday, shampoo and condition my hair and twist it up. I knew it would be an all day job, and I was prepared for it — well at least I thought I was.
The big day arrived…and went. No two-strand twists. Clean, conditioned hair for sure, but I took a much shorter route: I sectioned my hair, applied a little Posner’s Exotic Hair Butter (part of my product left-overs) and braided it in big box braids. My hair was damp, instead of wet. It was completely dry, when I unbraided it, after about 12 hours. My braid-out is actually quite nice. Since it’s not going to be bitterly cold all this week, I’m good to go.
Now, if I’d started earlier in the day, instead of doing other stuff, I probably would have completed the original task. But I didn’t hit the sink, until late afternoon, so there was NO way I was gonna be up all nite and into the wee hours of the morning, twisting my hair while trying to fight sleep. Naw.
