Hair Product Shopping

I always start the year off, by ordering a three-month supply of hair products. So, I just ordered more QB’s Amla and Olive Heavy Cream, as well as the new Indian Macassar Conditioning Oil. What else did I buy? Okay, here goes:

Oyin Handmade: The Grand Poo Bar, Honey Hemp Conditioner and the new Burnt Sugar Hair Pomade. I put off trying the new pomade, but I’ve read such great things about it, so I decided to try it.

Asha’s: Green Tea Herbal Leave-In. I forgot to order my Greg Juice from Oyin, and when I went back to the site, I discovered that they’re not taking any new orders, until mid-January. I was not a happy camper. But, let’s see how this new find works out.

Kynk: Hair Honey. I’ve read mixed reviews on this one. But, I don’t really let folks deter me from trying something, if the ingredients are good. Sometimes it’s a matter of tweaking a product (which can simply mean using it on wet, instead of dry hair), to get it to work right for you. Also, I’ve found that many folks don’t follow instructions on how to use products, or they immediately start mixin’ them with other stuff.

If you’d like more info on these products, check out the links section. If you use the new links pages (under Extras), you’ll have to do a category and then product name search, to pull up the site links. There’s a problem with the pages, and it’s being worked on.

    Hey girl! You are just like me! I used to be a serious product junkie… I’m reformed now, since I have scalp issue going on here. If you ever need something for your scalp, Camille turned me on to this great oil–Ezekiel Oil . It’s concentrated tea tree oil and I love it. They call it first aid oil, so it is good for the skin. I got it from danielchapterone.com.

    Happy New Year my sistah! Be Blessed!!

    :) Hey, Moya!

    My PJism used to be worse. But it’s slowed down greatly, since I started using Qhemet Biologics products. I don’t have scalp problems, but thanks for the referral. I’ll add it to my links page.

    Thanks for stopping by

    What’s your favorite natural shampoo and conditioner???

    Natural shampoo? Uhmmm…it would have to be Ida’s Shampoo Bars (Chagrin Valley Soap and Craft) and Oyin’s Poo Bar. I suspect Anita Grant’s Babassu Shampoo Bar will be a favorite (once I get a chance to try it).

    Conditioner? I really LOVE Aubrey Organic’s GPB. I just ordered Oyin’s Honey Hemp conditioner. I haven’t tried it yet, though.

    The other conditioners I use aren’t considered “natural”.

    Did you get the green tea leave-in? I have it on order. I can’t wait to try it. I looked yummy!! I can’t resis t the PJ in me at times. Maybe I should just accept that I like to try new things and not beat myself up about it as long as I am not hurting the finances. Let us KNOW!!!

    @Gilroygal

    I haven’t had a chance to try it yet. I’m going to use it when I twist my hair this weekend (hopefully). I’ll be sure to let everyone know what I think. If you get to it before I do, be sure to post a review in the forum.

    :)
