Luke 7:47

Wherefore I say to thee, her sins, which are many are forgiven, for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

I woulda been (back in that time) JUST like the woman, who washed Jesus’ feet, with her hair and her tears. She perfumed his feet. She loved Him, because He had the power and graciousness to forgive her many sins. He’s kind, gracious and merciful.

Selah…indeed

When I read the NT, I’m always blown away by some of the stuff Jesus said to people. Some of the most simple statements, but with profound meanings.

It makes sense though when you think about it. People who have experienced little or no forgiveness (or they don’t understand what it feels like to lay down at night, with a clean conscience) have a hard time being loving, forgiving and even kind.

It would have been wonderful to sit a Jesus’ feet, back then, and listen to Him speak. Just listen and take it all in.
