I’m starting backwards…
Detroiters
Why does it seem like so many of us lack basic discernment and reasoning ability? Why is it ALWAYS about somebody trying to “bring a young black man down”? Why does logic fly out the window, when color enters a situation?
Kwame’s behavior DEFINATELY does not match that of one who’s been wrongly accused. If there was nothing to hide, he wouldn’t have gone to outrageous lengths to keep those text messages from coming to light. Isn’t that common sense?
If it was ONLY about his affair with Christine, he wouldn’t have paid out $9 million in that settlement. Politicians cheat on their spouses. We all know that. It’s not about that. There’s some info in those messages (and in that investigation that got shut down) that will uncover some stuff that’s MUCH deeper, and MUCH uglier than just marital infidelity. He wanted those officers to stop digging, so he took away their shovels. They sued (successfully, btw), because they knew their performance was exemplary, and that there was no legitimate reason for the firings.
You don’t pay $9 million, cuz you don’t want folks to know you’re sleeping with your Chief of Staff. That’s way too much money, to hide behavior that is expected AND accepted in this sick world we live in. Common sense, again.
Nobody has to try to “take a black man down”. Kwame’s done a good job, ALL BY HIMSELF. Blame Kwame, and stop with the lame conspiracy theories.
Preachas
What are some of you “ministers” of, exactly? Is it The Gospel? What do you…preach? “He who is without sin…” is the ONLY verse you can come up with, to address a wayward, arrogant, rebellious mayor? All these “churches” in Detroit (one on every corner), and we wonder why stuff is so wicked? It’s because the spiritual leadership is just as….blind and batty as those they lead. Too many of you are more concerned about politics, than you are about righteousness. You’re in bed with Kwame.
How about this…
Proverbs 28:13 No good comes from covering up wrongdoing. Mercy and compassion flow (FROM GOD, not necessarily other human beings…), when we confess, and TURN from our wrongdoing. We want God’s mercy, because He is able to turn hard hearts and situations. People may or may not show mercy, even when you are genuinely repentant. But when God is on your side, you don’t worry about fickle human beings.
Proverbs 13:15 Your way will be HARD, when you transgress. Plus, your transgressions will make it hard on others, who have to deal with the consequences of your transgressions. It’s a rocky road all the way, with a rocky end in store.
Proverbs 29:1 A stiff neck will end up as a broken neck — with no remedy. You never want to get to a place where what’s broke can’t be…fixed. You won’t get your career back. Your wife will leave, never to return. Your kids will hate you. You’ll lose your mind — and it’ll STAY…lost. God is kind enough to send warnings, before the judgement. There are some “hard sayings” in the bible, and Christians often avoid those sayings — as if that will render them less true.
So, when you pray, make sure you pray according to God’s Word and God’s will. Stop using the pulpit to support/promote corrupt politicians. God is not mocked. Those who support corruption also have to answer to God.
Kwame
You’re not what we need to push our city forward. You’re not a wise man, and you clearly don’t have a heart for Detroiters. Step down. Repent. Not much else to say.
A Nappy Girl

Happy Birthday to ya! Happy Birthday to ya! happy birthday! happy birthday to ya! happy birthday to yya…and many more!
I’m embarrassed. I never thought I’d feel bad about being a
native Detroiter. Kwame Kilpatrick should be ashamed, but he’s
not.
Kwame is an idiot. If I were Christine B, I’d shout from the mountaintops EVERYTHING I knew about all of it.
Are you from Michigan too? Kwame has really messed himself up. It’s sad. And in the process he’s brought more trouble to Detroit and the state.
Yes, I’m a Detroiter, born and raised in Michigan. It’s VERY sad. What’s even sadder is the number of folks, who think that we should turn our heads the other way.
The Detroit-area clergy are a mess, too.
