I’ve gotten a few emails, regarding the links in my blogroll. One asked if I was confused, and mistakenly linked to the wrong blog. I smiled, and became instantly aware that most folks link to folks whose views they support/agree with. I don’t, necessarily.
I link to blogs I find interesting. The writers make me think. Now, you won’t see any links to blogs that are profane/obscene/silly, yet interesting. But just because I don’t agree with someone doesn’t mean that what they write isn’t worth reading by me, or others. I don’t roll like that.
LaShawn Barber, Michelle Malkin and Sister Toldjah cause the most concern. About LaShawn — I think she’s a great political blogger, but I don’t always agree with her position/views as a Christian. Some think she’s condescending at times, (but some probably think the same about me). Same with Michelle and S.Toldjah. Some of their points are…on point. Some, are not — in my opinion. But there’s some intelligence there (a few may disagree, and that’s okay too), and I like intelligent folk — even if I disagree with them.
I don’t agree with everybody, on everything, all the time — and I don’t have to. I’m not so in love with my views on life/God, that I can/should only have interest in bloggers who mirror those views.
