I tore out some of my hair, during my recent detangling session. It’s my fault. The two-strand twists were WAY too small. I hate those teeny-tiny two-strand twists on my hair – my hair texture doesn’t like them. I don’t have the patience, nor the time, to go thru each one…I can’t just backward twist (to untwist), because they’re too small and the ends are loose. I had the opportunity to request bigger twists when I had them done, but the small ones are so….cute! So, I remained silent. Like I said, it’s all my fault.
So, although you can’t tell with the naked eye (I have a lot of hair), I know what really happened. My hair is going into hibernation for the winter…starting today. Once I finally got everything detangled (yes, I used loads of conditioner), I clarified (a couple of teaspoons of baking soda, with some diluted Trader Joe’s Nourish Spa shampoo), and loaded up the strands with the Deep Conditioning Mask by Darcy’s Botanicals.
I’m having my twists redone tonite, and they’ll be nice and…a few sizes up from what I just had. I’ll be wearing twists till the Spring…no heat, no fuss, no drama. My hair is probably a little ticked off, right now.
