It’s All Good (Pretty Much)

Before I launch into a few more reviews on the boatload of products I just got, I wanna address a few concerns communicated via email, from some readers.

I almost always  have good product reviews, and I guess with so many napptural sistas declaring what their hair “hates”, as well as what it loves, people expect me to have my list of “what my hair hates”. Quite frankly, my hair doesn’t hate much. If it does, I don’t know about it. I just go with the flow.

Sure, there are products that work better than some…and I’m not the biggest fan of shea butter (although I have to say some of the newer products I’ve tried with shea are wonderful), but my hair does well with most of the handmade, all/nearly-all natural products out there. Now,  the commercial stuff is a totally different story. However, since I don’t use much of the commercial stuff anymore, I don’t have many issues.

I give products a chance, and I take product reviews with a grain of salt, as should you. If the whole town claims a product is “bad”, then it may be. But I can say that most of the key players in the nappy haircare game know how to make products that work…maybe not for my hair, but for somebody’s hair. I will never slam a product, just because it didn’t work the best for my hair. I can usually tell a good product, that’s best suited for a hair texture other than mine, vs a bad product that should have never seen the light of day.

Is my hair perfect? Of course not. I don’t have hair that stays moisturized for days (after the application of some product), like some. I have to moisturize my hair daily, to keep dryness at bay. My hair can tangle like you’ve never seen, which is why you hardly ever see my hair all out, unless it’s “clumped”, like in a twist/braidout.  My biggest “problem” with my hair is trying to find time to use all the great stuff I have, which is why I stayed away from buying new products for over a year.  A lot of good that did… :dsadasccc:
