The Review:
I’m an Etsy shopper and I just happened to stumble upon this shop, a month or so ago. What a great find! Christine Gant (the owner) is a SOAPMAKER!!! So am I, so I was naturally intrigued! Her soap is….wonderful. She sent me a sample of soap, along with a sample of her cleansing cream. I
when folks send me a sample or two. She’s a very nice lady. I received my products quickly, and she’s courteous and responsive.
Okay. The butter is great! It has a light, natural herbal scent that’s not too strong. It’s chock full of organic oils, including sesame and avocado. It does contain beeswax, so vegans should take note. I normally run from products with beeswax, but I can’t “feel” it in this product. There’s no stickiness. It melts into the skin and scalp, and I’ve experienced no buildup. I have this one tiny spot, at the crown of my head, that’s occasionally a little sore and flaky. This butter soothed and calmed that area…took the soreness and flakiness away.
I currently use it on my scalp (fall/winter weather change) and on my ends. I haven’t tried it all over my hair, and probably won’t, because I use “butter” primarily as a scalp and ends moisturizer.
She makes a Sweet Milk Detangling Cream Leave-In (which I have, but haven’t tried yet), and a Rich Babassu Cream Deep Conditioner (rinse out) that I plan to try. Check out her full line and ingredient lists, when you visit the site.
An interview is coming soon…stay tuned!
