What Am I Doing RIGHT Now?

Donna Marie Loc and Twist Pudding

Twists Take Down

I’m taking down my twists. I’ve got some Afroveda products arriving tomorrow, and I need to get my hair detangled and ready for a shampoo tomorrow morning. This is the left/top/side. I did a haircut, a few months ago (removed about 5 inches from the back), and I like that my hair is more even. My back grows like a weed, and it always ends up passing up the rest of the hair on my head.

Donna Marie’s Lock and Twist Pudding makes the most amazing two-strand twists AND twistouts. My hair is not so “neat”, because I’m not planning on wearing my hair in a twistout. But I am totally in :love with her hair products.

Gotta  :love nappy hair! There’s nothing like it!

What are you doing right? Girl, you love your hair and your hair knows it and is responding to your love. Pure and simple. I’m sitting here envying your lovely hair. I had to trim back to 4 inches. I just couldn’t handle the upkeep of the 8-10 inches I’d grown. Working out was becoming difficult to coordinate since I was always having to wash my hair regularly, endure shrinkage, and worry about retwisting and restyling my hair.
But your hair looks great. I still look forward to using some of the products you review on my 4 inch of Afro twist out

Naw…my hair is a little “jacked up” right now. I’m working on 6 months of TLC, so when I go to the World Natural Hair, Health and Beauty show in Atlanta (April 2010), I won’t get laughed out the place :lol Those sistas have some GORGEOUS hair. No heat, deep conditioning, extra-gentle handling, and two-strand twists…up to the show. I may wear my hair out, but that’s undecided right now.

Yeah…hair can be a bit much. I got careless with a couple of detangling sessions….lot of stress in my life at that time, and I broke off sections of my hair, near the root. I combed out so much of my hair, it scared me. It’s not noticeable by just looking at it (because the sections are very small), but the mechanical damage is definitely there.

4 inches of hair sounds wonderful, right about now…
