I’m a native Detroiter. I’m 40-something. I’ve been a Christian (disciple of  Jesus, The Christ™), since the age of 12. I’m single, and I enjoy it — most of the time. My interests include: soapmaking, cooking and good books! I’m an animal lover — dogs and cats, especially.

I decided to go nappy, because I started to consider what years of relaxer applications might be doing to my body. Plus, I got sick of sitting in beauty salons all day long (for touch-ups). I love napps, and if I had it to do it all over again, a relaxer would have never, ever touched my hair and scalp. I transitioned for a little over a year.

Writing is therapeutic for me.  I write for my benefit, primarily.  Any blessings received by readers are credited to The Christ. I don’ t write to “appear” any kinda way. So, if I don’t fit inside your “box”, don’t force it. I strive to be authentic, which isn’t everybody’s flavor. There are plenty of Christian blogs out there…blogs that may be better suited to your taste. I’ve linked to a few. I read them myself.  Of course, I Twitter.

Product reviews are based on how the products work on my hair. That should go without saying, but…just in case, know that you may not have the same results, if our hair types are not similar/identical.
